California is considering doing away with speed limits on parts of I-5 and Hwy 99. Good idea or no? Tell us why in the comments.

This might work so long as the sections having no speed restrictions are areas where there are multiple lanes each direction and then the changes have to be clearly marked and often marked. Drivers in the US are not used to such a concept and a lot of trouble, including road rage, could occur if speed limit changes are not clear.

Are they crazy. Just another opportunity for some idiot to speed and kill someone. Probably should create a lane to separate cars from large trucks.

There is already a massive and widespread disregard for safety- simply no common sense displayed by at least half the drivers on these roads. If anything, we need to fund more law enforcement and amp up the manner in which we protect them while they patrol. Hwy 99 is spiraling out of control.
