CARD's 51st Annual Spring Jamboree Hops into Gear!
When: Saturday, April 19th at Caper Acres in Bidwell Park.
Open to families and children 3rd grade and lower. Egg hunt starts at 10am for pre-school age children, 10:45am for Kindergarten thru 1st grade, ending at 11:30am for the 2nd and 3rd grade egg hunt.
There will also be face painting, art projects, a bounce house, and a visit from the Easter Bunny!!

The Arc's 14th Annual Wine, Beer, & Food Pairing Benefit
When: Sunday May 4th 3pm-6pm
Where: Arc Pavilion, 2040 Park Ave. Chico

Local restaurants present delicious taste treats to pair with local, regional, and international wines, and local draft beers. There will be live music, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and a client art exhibit and sale!

(SMALL FARMER SCHOLARSHIP)
CCNV is a partnership of organizations whose projects work to strengthen the NorthValley community through local, sustainable food. These organizations are: GRUB Education Program, CSUC's College of Agriculture, The Center for Nutrition & Activity Promotion (CNAP), and Collaboratively Creating Health Access Opportunities & Services (cCHAOS).
CCNV's Mission is to increase food security in ButteCounty and surrounding farm area, starting with the under-served. We offer education, consultation, networking, and targeted resources to support students, small scale and low-income farmers, and under-served communities to increase participation and capacity in the local food system.
Chico Certified Farmers Market (Saturday)
The Chico Certified Farmers' Market mission is a unique opportunity where farmers and vendors can sell directly to the consumer in organized farmers' markets in the Butte county area. Our first farmers' market began in Dowtown Chico in August of 1980. The Downtown Chico farmers' market moved many times before it found a more permanent location in Downtown Chico, which is now 2nd & Wall Street.
Academic Self Defense
An Academic Self Defense program is starting at Azad's Martial Arts Family Center. The program provides youngsters from Grade 1-12 with special after school academic tutoring every Monday-Thursday from 3-4:30pm. It's a FREE program that offers help in all subject areas including Basic Math and Calculus, Science, Reading, Writing, English, etc. Parents must call at least 24 hours ahead to pre-register their children for each session, to guarantee a spot for tutoring.
