10-30-14 Word of the Day - Pee Wee Herman
Pee Wee Herman Returns To The Big Screen
In the 80's and early 90's, Pee Wee Herman aka Paul Reubens entertained children and adults alike with his offbeat brand of quirky, family friendly humor. He became a worldwide sensation practically overnight. When the big adventure came to an end in the early 90's, Reubens fell out of favor with the public after a well documented series of problems of both a personal and legal nature. He also dealt with a bout of depression brought by a lack of work and those same recurring problems. Now some 26 years later Reuben's ongoing attempt to rehabilitate his life and his career continues. We've seen him on tv playing some bit roles on a few primetime shows. Last night he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for a major announcement. Will this new project be the one that brings Pee Wee back to the forefront? Only time will tell. In the meantime though, we're going to make him our Drive at Five Word of the Day inside the VIP Club at KMXI.COM. Grab those points before they disappear!
10-29-14 Word of the Day - Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock Saves The Day On Set In New Orleans
Take a close look at the picture above. The lady in the dark jacket wearing sunglasses is non other than Hollywood superstar Sandra Bullock. Last week while on the set of her new movie, a female extra became the victim of an apparent heat stroke. Sandra was by her side almost immediately providing aid and comfort until medical personnel arrived on scene. Ironically enough, the name of Sandra's new movie? "Our Brand is Crisis." So now Sandra proves that she can handle a fictional crisis on screen, but also one in the "real world" too. For that we are naming her as our Word of the Day inside the VIP Club at KMXI.COM
